Student
We want to be your partner in preparing YOU to take on the world. We have found that the more involved you are, the better of an educational experience you will have. This would be a great section to bookmark, as it includes many important links, resources, and other information you will access often.
School iPads
We developed a 1:1 device program to prepare students throughout their K-12 journey for college and career expectations. Kindergarten-6th grade students are equipped with an assigned iPad for use in the classroom and we progress to a take home implementation for 7th-12th grade students.
To help ensure success, students are empowered to complete troubleshooting steps when technology issues arise.
- Ensure the correct application is in use.
- All students should use the green StudentVUE mobile application. The blue Safari web shortcut is also available but should only be used as a backup and never the primary way for accessing StudentVUE.
- If the curriculum is accessed from Clever, ensure the Clever mobile application is the starting point every time and not an open Safari window.
- Once the correct application is in use, the following can be done if students continue to encounter issues.
- Logout of the application.
- Close all active Safari windows and restart the app.
- Clear the Safari website history and data.
- Complete a hard reset.

E-Mail & Office 365
By implementing Office 365, we provide students with a collaborative system to effectively communicate via email with teachers and other students while also providing hands on experience with tools utilized in the workforce. All 3rd-12th grade students are issued an Office 365 account which allows them to stay up to date with events, and communicate with teachers, students and staff members professionally!
Naviance
All 7th-12th grade students use the Naviance site, which is a software so that each student can build an electronic portfolio. Students work with their grade level advisor to ensure this is accurate and up to date along with using the resources available to take full advantage of the opportunities Naviance may have.
Handbooks
Please note that we revise the handbook annually, so reviewing it is important for returning families, as well as new. The provided handbook clarifies many details essential to being a part of Desert Heights community.
Parking Pass
At DHPA, parking passes are sold on a first-come first-serve basis to juniors and seniors only. All student drivers must have a Desert Heights Preparatory Academy Parking Permit for the current school year to park in the dirt lot across the street. Students are to still follow the same guidelines and expectations of parking on site.
Access DHPA's Parking Pass Agreement.
Parking Pass Agreements for 2024-2025 school year will be accepted starting July 24th!
Locker Information
Lockers are not required but are available to 5th-12th grade students for a fee. Students have an annual locker lease option of $30.00/year or if desired can purchase a locker for their lifetime at DHPA for $50.00. Please contact the DHPA front office to obtain a locker for your student today!
