At Desert Heights, our education program prepares all of our students to become responsible leaders. We believe that in order to be well rounded you must be able to learn and grow inside and outside the classroom. Our K-4 program prepares students for their transition to the Preparatory campus with their curriculum, HOWL program, and extracurricular activities. We offer gifted programs and support students moving into higher courses if they are mentally, emotionally. and physically prepared. We are a school for all students!
Our Preparatory campus (5-12th grade) offers so much for every student. We determine schedules and courses based off student needs and interests. We incorporate technology, and foreign language starting in Pre-K and we build on those skills in our 5-8 program. We have honors sections in each grade level and there are sections of 8th grade students that start High School one year early in order to graduate with more college credits. We push each student academically and strive to develop their individual strengths.
Our High School program offers the DHPA Honors Diploma which supports the requirements for every higher education program after high school. Students must earn 24 credits and meet the other requirements for graduation to obtain this diploma. Additionally, scholars are also supported in performing and fine arts, athletics, clubs, and so much more that relate to our Three Pillars (Academic Excellence, Integrity of Character, and Social Awareness).
