Leagues
Desert Heights plays in three different leagues based off age and level. Our department reviews all leagues and makes the decision that is in the best interest for our program and teams.
K-4 Charter League
The Charter School campus hosts their own sports and camps kindergarten-4th grade. Teams are placed based off age levels and they play other coyote charter teams throughout the season. We invite all of our families to come out and watch the season scrimmages and the final championship games.

5-8 Arizona Canyon Athletic Association (AzCAA)
The Canyon Athletic Association ("CAA") is a not-for-profit corporation created to provide competitive athletic competition for non-traditional educational institutions. The CAA consists of member schools at the Junior High and High School level that wish to participate in interscholastic activities. The member schools include, but are not limited to, charter schools, public schools, home school organizations and parochial schools. It is our goal to help facilitate communication, provide structure and guidelines, organize tournaments and manage the funds necessary for these activities. The CAA seeks to provide high standards of integrity while providing great flexibility to accommodate non-traditional schools.

9-12 Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA)
The AIA is a voluntary association of public and private high schools which was established by and is responsible to its members. The democratic governance of the AIA provides representation and input opportunities to all its member schools through their governing board members, administrators and teachers who serve on the Legislative Council, Executive Board and ad hoc committees.
The history of the AIA, which can be traced back to 1913, has been marked by rapid growth, constant improvement, and successful achievement of its major goals. These achievements have occurred primarily through the harmonious and cooperative efforts of those individuals who have been selected by the membership to represent their interest.
