When is my high school adviser available for support?

High School advisers are avaialbe to assist students throughout the day.  Students should contact their adviser directly via email to request a meeting or ask questions.

Please review the K-4 schedule where you can find the times in which your child’s teachers will be going “live” on Zoom. If you have not done so, please visit Zoom and set up an account for you and your child. The website is https://zoom.us/.  If your child cannot participate in these sessions, they will be recorded and can be accessed later.

As mentioned, your child will not receive instruction on new material during these live sessions. They are designed to provide a social experience for your child where they can connect with their teacher and with each other.

Please help your child get into their sessions and remind them of proper etiquette. We know this is going to be a new experience for them and they will be very excited! Please be sure you mute them when they join so that it isn’t really noisy and distracting when each student joins.

You will continue to receive further instructions on learning expectations from your child’s teacher. For the first week, the expectations are very minimal. We just want to have each student and family connect with their teacher and acclimate to the new learning environment.

Throughout this Virtual Learning process, we are offering support for all parents and students. If you experience issues, email this address and we will help work through them => DHVirtualLearning2020@dhschools.org.
