The Governing Board meets each month typically on the third Tuesday and the meeting agendas will be posted 24 hours prior to the scheduld meeting time. The current board members include:
Chairman of the Board
Manuel Robles and his family have been proud members of our school community since 2002. Appointed to the Desert Heights Charter Schools board on March of 2004, Manuel currently serves as the Chairman of the Board, previously served as Secretary (2011-2014), and volunteers on the Desert Heights Charter School Marketing Committee. He is currently employed as an independent consultant in the hospitality industry helping hotel owners with marketing, budgeting, finance, and general overall business operations. Manuel and his wife, Michelle, are proud parents of two children; a current student at Desert Heights Preparatory Academy and a graduate from the class of 2014.
Sherrie Blanton has been a part of the Desert Heights Charter Schools community since 2010. With 2 children attending Desert Heights Preparatory Academy, one graduated with the class of 2016 and one will be a Junior for the 2016-2017 school year. Sherrie has worked in the Financial Institution industry for 19 years, currently working at Credit Union West as a Lead employee, and has her National IRA Certification. Some of her accomplishments include leading and contributing to multiple projects which all improved either products or new software, enhancing the quality of life for staff and members. She is also going to school for Business Management and Organizational Leadership. Sherrie believes it is important to share a smile…you never know who needs one.
